We’re happy to announce that HallianAI now connects directly to Egnyte through Egnyte’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. AEC firms can securely bring AI to the project data they already manage — no migration, no new repository, no disruption to how they work.
Customers are already using it
A customer with roughly 16 terabytes of project data in Egnyte — millions of files — connected HallianAI to their Egnyte environment in a single working session, then started asking real questions:
- “Find the most recent geotechnical report for this engineer.” HallianAI found it, recognized two versions of the same report, and summarized the contents.
- “Identify personally identifiable information across our project files.” It flagged Social Security numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, and sensitive email attachments.
The reports, project folders, and email correspondence (filed automatically by their Newforma workflow) all stayed right where they already live: in Egnyte.
Your permissions are the security model
The connection uses each user’s existing Egnyte Oauth 2.1 authorization, so HallianAI works within the access your firm already controls. A project agent doesn’t gain access to payroll or HR folders just because it’s connected to your file platform. Egnyte governance settings and HallianAI agent instructions add further boundaries — configured together with your IT and security teams. Your employees only have access to what they can see through their authenticated role in Egnyte.
Data stays where it belongs
HallianAI is privately hosted. Through MCP, it works with your existing Egnyte environment rather than copying it into a separate AI database. Egnyte remains the source of truth for your project files; HallianAI is the AI layer that helps employees search, summarize, and reason about that information.
Firms can use HallianAI’s ingestion engine for curated knowledge bases, the Egnyte MCP connection for data that already lives in Egnyte, or both.
